+1 I'm having the exact same issue. When my react-native app is active and in the foreground it prevents the device from going to sleep. This is undesired behavior and I haven't done anything explicit to cause this programatically. It behaves sort of like Youtube or a video app. @gkeenley Did you ever find a solution to this problem?
