This was bugging me too. If you don't mind turning off the notification for every application. Turn off

Settings > Notifications > Open/close in-game overlay

This will only turn off the notification, and it will do it for all applications. You'll still be able to use the overlay by hitting Alt+Z (or whatever you have your shortcut set to)
