I have same issue and I am on
- Windows 11,
- IntelliJ Ultimate 2024.1.2 (Ultimate Edition) and
- maven 3.9.1.
I created new SO at IntelliJ - modifying <groupId> in maven pom.xml to contain a variable shows "Properties in parent definition are prohibited"
Reasons:
