We have previously used Pentaho PDI extensively at our organisation, and now, new ETL/Integration projects utilise Apache Hop - it is the natural upgrade path for Pentaho PDI:

• same principal architect as Pentaho PDI (Matt Casters)
• ongoing development (https://github.com/apache/hop / https://hop.apache.org)
• commitment to open source within a reliable ecosystem (Apache.org)
