Hi author of the issue here and sorry for the late response. We were unable to secure any sponsors for this component so we have an unofficial exporter for Postgres here: https://github.com/destrex271/postgresexporter

We'll eventually get this merged in the collector repository since it's a pretty long process but for the timebeing this is one of the alternatives.
