This is how you add a folder to the path environment variable in Windows 11.
Step 1 — Open the "Advanced System Settings" window:
- Press Windows+Pause/Break to open the System window.
- Click on the Advanced system settings link.

OR
- Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog.
- Type
sysdm.cpl
and hit Enter to open System Properties window.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
OR
- Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog.
- Type
SystemPropertiesAdvanced
and hit Enter to open System Properties window,
directly in the Advanced tab.

Step 2 — Open the "Environment Variables" window:
- Click on the Environment Variables... button.

Step 3 — Edit the "Path":
- Select the Path row.
- Click on the Edit button.

Step 4 — Add the "New Path":
- Click on the New button.
- Type / Browse to (click on the Browse... button)
the folder path you want to add, e.g. "C:\Program Files\Folder To
Add".
- Click on the OK button.
