- Make sure you have your recovery key(s). You cannot do this without it. The steps below reference the node names, not the server name currently associated with the nodes.
- Uninstall the data gateway software on node 01 and another node, say node 03 in your example.
- Re-install the gateway on node 03 but use the migration/take over option and take over the Primary 01 node. This will now make node 03 your primary. Your node name will remain "DEB-something 01 (Primary) but it will be associated with the server that was previously associated with node 03.
- Re-install the gateway on node 01 and use the migration/takeover option to take over node 03. This will show the node named "DEB-something 03 associated with the server that used to be the primary node in effect swapping them.
- Disable node 03 (which now points to your old primary server)
- Test everything works ok.
- Remove node 03 from the cluster.
- This should leave the node 03 server as your as primary and the node 04 server as a secondary node.
