The comment from @bojan-kogoj directed me into the right direction.

The Update automatically changed my angular.json from

"builder": "@angular-devkit/build-angular:browser" 

to

"builder": "@angular-devkit/build-angular:application"

After setting it back to browser everthing works just fine again
