In your project folder, if you do not have a .vscode folder with a settings.json, create one. Within that settings.json, add the line
"terminal.integrated.defaultProfile.windows": "Ubuntu (WSL)"
You may change "Ubuntu (WSL)" to your preferred terminal provider.
