Problem was solved doing one of two things:

1. adding the extention '.kts' to build.gradle and updating all code to kotlin.

OR

2. Updating all code from build.gradle to Groovy.

Now, I have another problem: "Cannot recover the key". But it is a topic to another question. Thank you all of you that helped me.
