When the configs are managed from Ambari UI., Here are the steps.

From
Ambari -> YARN -> Configs -> Adavcned Configs -> Advanced container-executor

The default values are

banned.users=hdfs,yarn,mapred,bin

Remove the hdfs user and other user required.

I prefer to remove hdfs and hive

Followed by restart of YARN service, should fix the values.
