Nothing worked for me while running iOS 15.5, although I found a (ridiculous) workaround.

I put the text I needed as plain text files in my computer's iCloud folder. Then I opened the simulator, I logged in iCloud inside the simulator, and I opened my iCloud folder using the "Archives" app.

Absolutely ridiculous workaround, but it did the trick.
