My experience is that you cannot use openpyxl to open an excel file that has been created/modified by spire.xls. I suspect that it is something (purposeful "sabotage") done to the file by spire.xls that breaks the ability of openpyxl to read the file so that you cannot use openpyxl to remove the "Evaluation Warning" that is written by the free version.

I also the warning "TypeError: ColumnDimension._init_() got an unexpected keyword argument 'widthPt'" when I try to access an excel file that has been modified by spire.xls
