Navigate to your project's solr directory:
-cd /path/to/your_project/solr
run this command
-sudo chown -R $(whoami) .

-chmod -R 755 .
Run solr start command
bundle exec rake sunspot:solr:start

Now it is working properly same as for sidekiq
