Apple devices include a default passkey provider, called Apple Passwords (formerly known as iCloud Keychain). If the user does not install their own passkey provider, Apple Passwords is used.

Apple Passwords creates synced passkeys, and they are synced to all other devices signed into the same Apple Account.
