As of QTCreator 16:

Edit->Preferences

Then go to the "Text Editor" section on the left. (Below 'Environment', above 'FakeVim')

Then go to the "Display" tab. There is a block called 'Live Annotations'. Uncheck it to remove the inline warnings.
