I finally found a solution for this. You need to go to VSCodium Settings and disable "Editor: Copy with Syntax Highlighting".

1. Launch VSCoidum

2. Go to File->Preferences->Settings

3. In the search box along the top, search for "Editor: Copy with Syntax Highlighting"

4. Unselect the "Editor: Copy with Syntax Highlighting" checkbox.
