I had maybe similar SqlBuilTask failures, without detailed errors, on VS2019 and after renaming my projects and folders, so this may not be the same case, but ..

for me it helped when I deleted all *.dbmdl and *.jfm files within solution folder/subfolders, and then restarted VS and rebuild.
