The only way i managed to get ChromeOS install on the M1 Macbook Pro was with the UTM and using a USB key with ChromeOS Flex. Unfortunately the performance is very slow and for me anyway unusable.

I hope someone will soon find a way to install ChromeOS Arm version even if its using something similar the Asahi Linux project.
