1. Open LocalWP

Launch Local (by Flywheel).

2. Go to Your Site’s Settings

In the left sidebar, click on your site (e.g., “MySite”).

Click on the “Overview” tab (sometimes labeled “Site” or “Site Overview” depending on your version).

3. Change the Domain

Find the field labeled “Site Domain” (or “Domain”).

Change it from something like localhost:10005 to:

mysite.local

Click “Apply Changes.”

4. Allow LocalWP to Update Hosts File

Local will prompt you to update your system’s hosts file.

Click “Allow” or “Yes” when it asks for administrator/root access.

This step maps mysite.local → 127.0.0.1 on your computer.

5. Restart the Site

Stop the site (if running) and click Start Site again.

6. Open the Site

Click “Open Site” — it

should now open:

http://mysite.local
