@Drew Reese my concern is that if I create transformer functions which transforms data from API into the format that I need in my front end project, then will it be useful or just a waste of time. I have no experience doing this so I am asking the community if anyone have done this and faced any challenges.

And thank you @Pac0. That last paragraph about keeping component types separate really hit me.
