Say file ABC.csv looks like the following:

col_1,col=2,col=3
A,B,C
d,e,f

And you want to replace = with _.
sed will do this as follows.

sed -i '1 s/=/_/g' ABC.csv

The -i switch writes back to the same file.
1 refers to the first line (header).
