Yes, the website can still track users' behavior using cookieless tracking methods such as server-side tracking, local storage, or a data layer.

For example, with server-side tracking, the tracking code is executed on the server instead of the user's browser. This means that the users' devices don't need to store any data. All the data tracking is made on the server.

You may find more on cookieless tracking in the blog post: https://stape.io/blog/what-is-cookieless-tracking

I have had this same issue with C/C++ files, specifically over an ssh connection. What fixed it for me was going to C/C++: Select IntelliSense Configuration in the command palette and changing it to target gcc on the remote server (substitute gcc for your compiler). It was previously trying to use a C compiler on my local machine.

I figured this out from this article which is specifically about TypeScript, but it lead me to the source of the problem.

They are in different packages but I think it's confusing to have the same name. Is there a best practice on how to name the transfer objects?

I feel comfortable using DTO or any module-suffix at the end of the class, for example somethingController, somethingRepo... it makes finding something easier. In normal cases, CarDTO is a good choice, but if I am concerned about name duplication I will add a package prefix. Similar to how two students with the same name in a class are distinguished by their last names. In your case, I'd name it clientCarDTO/clientapiCarDto.. And...

What about situation when I have multiple DTOs of the same class? – Flying Dumpling

If the action forces me to separate multiple DTOs for multiple actions, I will choice an action-suffix (eg. userRegistrationDTO, userProfileDTO,..) for the name. If different objects force to write separate DTOs for them, I will name them with the suffix ...bySomeoneDto (eg. accountCreateByFooDTO, accountCreateByBarDTO,...).

The fix for me was to install the latest minidriver (not sure if this is what actually helped), but more importantly, reboot afterwards, and then the latest certificate showed up in certmgr.msc under personal/certificates.

So it looks like the cert was not there initially, and it was trying to use the new yubikey with the old cert file.

Also if it asks you to sign twice every time you sign, it's likely because you have the old and new certificate in there, so just remove the old cert from certmgr.msc and then it will only ask you for your pin for the current certificate.

Is your io_os.bin in any way prepared for getting patched by a boot info table which overwrites bytes 8 to 63 ? If not, then omit option -no-emul-boot .

If not the size of io_os.bin is 2048 bytes and it is not prepared for a boot info table, then omit option -boot-load-size 4 .

If your .bin is actually a disk image, then try what happens if you omit option -no-emul-boot to get floppy emulation, or if you replace it by option -hard-disk-boot to get hard disk emulation. You will probably need to read the El Torito Bootable CD-ROM Specification. I just implemented it myself in my new github repository "mvfki/ggfla". Not yet submitted to CRAN though. This should be a better solution for now as I don't hide the original axis and draw segments pretending the axis, but replace the axis elements themselves with what are wanted.

library(ggfla)
ggplot(df, aes(x, y)) +
    geom_point() +
    theme_axis_shortArrow()

Click to see the image ->demo-ggfla. Sadly I don't have minimum reputation to post images.

Other settings stay the same with original ggplot2 flavor. Modify the x-/y-axis titles with xlab() or ylab() and etc.

On my personal computer my ISP was not able to route traffic to the mirror that hosted the artifact. On my personal computer I was able to fix this using a VPN during the install.

On my restricted workstation the issue was the security system was not allowing access to the mirror that hosted the artifact.

Alternatively you can pass in a kCVPixelBufferWidthKey and kCVPixelBufferHeightKey to your pixel buffer properties for whatever your decode path is (as options for say a track reader output). This will vend smaller pixel buffers, but i dont think it will do the most efficient thing all the time, but should work everywhere by introducing a VImage pass inside the video toolbox decompression session.

To begin, let’s use VBA to grab the HTML source code from a specific URL through the use of the InternetExplorer object. After that, we can bring that HTML source code straight into the Power Query and through its transformation features such as specifying the appropriate tags and attributes, it will help extract the required data. All of these with parameters in both VBA and Power Query steps for the purpose of achieving flexibility. This means that you are able to change the direction of the web page and even the method of data extraction without having to modify the VBA code

I commented on your Apple Dev Forums post as well:

You need to ensure that you re-use tracks in your composition when creating a composition. Validate that your existing composition video track can be re-used when making a new insert / edit - assuming you don't need multiple tracks for transition effects.

The API for this is mutableTrack(compatibleWith track: AVAssetTrack) -> AVMutableCompositionTrack?

The way this works is

for every source video track you want to edit into your composition:

The more times you can re-use the same track (ie for standard edits) the better, and less memory you will consume.

And note, that video with the same / compatible CMFormatDesc should allow for track re-use. If you happen to have 42 videos with completely incompatible formats (ie resolution, frame rate, pixel format, color space) are all unique combinations, you will get zero re-use.

if all videos are say, 1080p 30, BGRA rec 709 you should get 100% re-use.

The timeout here is for the login, so if your credentials are the same on Dockers vs non-Docker, then your issue is likely related to connectivity.

From docker, are you able to reach the Azure SQL Database? By default, the Connection Policy is to use Proxy for connections external to Azure and Redirect to connections from Azure.

Redirect requires the port range 11000 to 11999 to be open, in addition to port 1433. Check if Docker can use this port.

There are quite a few assumptions here, but can only help more if you provide a bit more detail on the networking setup you're using. SQL Server settings, where Docker is connecting from, Firewall rules, etc.

According to your requirement, you want to add scrolling functionality to the child within the parent, where currently the page scrolls along with the TabBar and TabBarView (on the home page).

If anything is unclear please let me know.

Explanation: I added height and width to the Container and used the Expanded widget to occupy all available space. This ensures that we achieve scrolling within the child.

Happy coding

As mentioned above the currency depends on the country of your Apple ID. But you can add a sandbox account in App Store connect, sign in with it on your device, and use for texting from Xcode. You can set a country that you need for this test account. Further more, you can add test users to App Store and set the country there. These users can test the app from Test Flight. But in this case they'll have to sign out of the App Store on their device and sign in with the test user credentials.

In Spring Framework, some bean names are predefined or convention-based, meaning they are expected to have specific names for certain functionalities to work correctly. The CommonsMultipartResolver bean is one such bean where the name is convention-based, and it is expected to be named "multipartResolver" by default. Changing it to "multiPartResolver" or any other name may cause issues because Spring might not be able to automatically recognize it as the bean responsible for handling file uploads.

Reading the journal articles which SciPy cites,* I cannot find any choice of omega which is exactly equivalent to what SciPy is doing. However, there are a couple of cases which are similar.

Does anybody know the source of this method or the reasoning behind it?

Reading D.A. Knoll and D.E. Keyes, J. Comp. Phys. 193, 357 (2004). DOI:10.1016/j.jcp.2003.08.010, one of the article SciPy cites, I found a high-level rationale for SciPy's choices.

As shown above, the Jacobian-vector product approximation is based on a Taylor series expansion. Here, we discuss various options for choosing the perturbation parameter, Ξ΅ in Eq. (10), [Editor's note: this is the variable which SciPy calls omega, divided by the norm of v.] which is obviously sensitive to scaling, given u and v. If Ξ΅ is too large, the derivative is poorly approximated and if it is too small the result of the finite difference is contaminated by floating-point roundoff error. The best Ξ΅ to use for a scalar finite-difference of a single argument can be accurately optimized as a balance of these two quantifiable trade-offs. However, the choice of Ξ΅ for the vector finite difference is as much of an art as a science.

So there are two concerns being balanced here:

Ideally, to address the first concern, you would look at the second derivative of the function. However, we don't know the first or second derivative of the function. That's the whole point of finding the step size. I think that it is looking at the size of f(x) as the next best thing: if f(x) is big, then either the user put in a really bad guess for x when they started the solver, or this is an area of the function where the function changes rapidly.

Roundoff is addressed similarly, where if x is big, then the step will be big as well. This is somewhat similar to equation (11), from the same paper.

epsilon is 1 over dimension of problem times norm of v times the sum of machine epsilon times the absolute value of each element of u, plus machine epsilon

In this equation, n represents the number of dimensions of the problem, v represents the point where we are trying to find the Jacobian-vector product, u represents the direction of the product, and b represents an arbitrary constant which is approximately the square root of machine epsilon. (Note: this is similar to self.rdiff, which defaults to the square root of machine epsilon.)

We can algebraically manipulate this to find the similarities and differences between this and SciPy's formula.

# difference between SciPy's omega and Knoll's epsilon
epsilon = omega / norm(v)
epsilon = 1/(n*norm(v)) * (sum(b * abs(u[i]) for i in range(n)) + b)

# Combine the two equations
omega / norm(v) = 1/(n*norm(v)) * (sum(b * abs(u[i]) for i in range(n)) + b)

# Multiply both sides by norm of v
omega = 1/n * (sum(b * abs(u[i]) for i in range(n)) + b)

# Factor out b
omega = b/n * (sum(abs(u[i]) for i in range(n)) + 1)

# Move n into parens
omega = b * (sum(abs(u[i]) for i in range(n))/n + 1/n)

# Recognize sum(...)/n as mean
omega = b * (mean(abs(u)) + 1/n)

This is somewhat similar to what SciPy is doing, except:

Avoiding infinite or zero step sizes

There are two step sizes which must be avoided at all costs: zero and infinity. If one takes a step of zero, then a division by zero will be caused. A step size of infinity will tell us nothing about the local Jacobian.

This is a problem, because both x and f(x) can be zero. The max(1, ...) step is likely placed there to avoid this.

Conclusion

I can't find a pre-existing journal paper which takes the same approach. I suspect that this equation is just an approach which is experimentally justified and works in practice.

*Note: I only read the papers by D.A. Knoll and D.E. Keyes, and A.H. Baker and E.R. Jessup and T. Manteuffel. The first reference on that page was added after omega was chosen, so I did not read it.

The question is essentially how do you work with non-Doctrine mapped database tables in Doctrine. For anyone who has worked with legacy data knows, the simple answers of (1) you can't do that and (2) convert all the other tables to Doctrine Entities is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. This is because (1) The inability to use Doctrine to manage newly added tables will impact programmer productivity and (2) converting all the existing tables into Doctrine mapped entities is a potentially huge undertaking and is simply not worth the effort.

Doctrine has an import command doctrine:mapping:import, but this command is no longer supported it seems. It is still in Symfony 6 because (I think) it still has some application in some very narrow use cases. Do not use the import! Will lead to tears.

Much better when adding capability to legacy data to add new tables as Doctrine entities and let nature take its course with all the other tables.

To get the Doctrine migration stuff to work you need to adopt a table naming scheme such that Doctrine can recognize the Doctrine mapped tables. You do this in doctrine.yaml like so...

doctrine:
    dbal:
        schema_filter: ~^((?=en_)|doctrine_migration_versions)~
        url: '%env(resolve:DATABASE_URL)%'

The schema filter, in this case ignores all tables except for those tables that start with "en_". Also it recognizes the special table "doctrine_migration_versions" as a Doctrine table.

If you add this schema filter, doctrine migration operations such as...

symfony console make:migration

...will work properly.

Now the hard part is how to connect your new Doctrine Entity tables to legacy tables. You cannot use any of the Doctrine mapping attributes such as OneToMany and ManyToOne and so on because these all require a Doctrine Entity as the other table. What you need to do is simply add the raw key value into the Doctrine entity. So for example If your new en_customer_email table needs to reference the legacy customer table whose primary key is an int, then add this to your Doctrine Entity...

#[ORM\Column(type: 'integer')]
private $customerId;

With accessors...

public function getCustomerId(): ?int
{
    return $this->customerId;
}

public function setCustomerId(int $customerId): self
{
    $this->customerId = $customerId;

    return $this;
}

To make this useable we need some way to retrieve the email records based on customer id, so we add code to the repository for the new entity...

public function getCustomerEmails(int $customerId) : array
{
    return $this->findBy(["customerId" => $customerId]);
}

I find the Repository classes for the new entities to be the right place to put these legacy support functions. Going the other way, given an email record, to get the customer record you need to get the key and then use the legacy machinery to get that. Not ideal, but the best you can do.

We are not done yet! All this will work but will have issues. The first is performance. We need an index for this new column. This can be easily done using Doctrine as documented in this answer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/73805858/7422838

The second issue is orphaned email records when the customer record is deleted. Here we need a foreign key constraint and there is no clean way to do this.

My approach is the following:

  1. After having created the table using a migration, add the foreign key constraint manually to the database table.
  2. Then create a migration (symfony console make:migration). You will see in the up() method the foreign key being deleted and in the down() method it being recreated again.
  3. Exchange the code in the up() and down() methods.
  4. Delete the manually created foreign key constraint.
  5. Run the new migration to create the foreign key constraint.

Any there you have it! The Doctrine created Entity has been coupled to a legacy database table. Note the following:

  1. I am creating only the most basic relationships between Doctrine and legacy tables. Anything more complex and I consider converting the legacy table into a Doctrine Entity.
  2. Once you add these essentially manual relationships, any further creation of migrations will want to delete those manual relationships. So you will need to carefully prune these SQL entries from future migrations.
  3. I am not considering how to add references to Doctrine entities to legacy tables. I want to avoid that at all costs! Legacy is legacy. If I need to create a relationship to a legacy table and adding a new column with the table primary key will not work, I simply add a new Doctrine table to manage the association.

Finally I am using Symfony 6, MySQL 8, Doctrine 3.

I wrote a tool to generate my comments. It lets me enter as many lines as I want. It will use the actual line drawing ascii, if the editor allows, and lets me select centered, double lined outline, what the leading comment string should be, etc. I also have the option to start one line with my comment start character, type as many lines as I like, highlight from the end up to somewhere on the first line of text, hit a key, and it all goes into a nice blocked comment. You can type a comment, hit a key and the line is automatically boxed for you. Of course you need to be using a full font that's monospaced, like Consolas.

The solution was to add "[html]": {"editor.foldingStrategy": "indentation"} to settings.json. This way, using indented html code inside blocks enables fold option. For example for the block "fot", the inner code should be indented:

{% block fot %}
    <div class="example">

    </div>

This way, block fot now is foldable/collapsable

Github pages is a bit limited for the configuration of SPA page apps, but it looks like some people have found some workarounds including modifying the 404 template file.

Viel Spass

searchSimilar in Spring-Data Elasticsearch tries to utilize Elasticsearch's features for searching similarities. But Entities have to be correctly mapped for this to work in query creation. Some of the Fields or Relationships particularly the @OneToMany, @ManyToOne or @ElementCollection saved in Items are relational and so incompatible with Elasticsearch as experienced for itemindex especially if mismatch vs what Items have.Notes regions that facilitate search similarity-related queries may be missing or incorrectly mapped within our index.Let’s consider improving support for searchSimilar and the manner in which the index mappings are defined. Otherwise, things can be properly. If you use "JpaRepository" and "ElasticsearchRepository" together, there may be conflicts. If an entity's lifecycle is different in these repositories, it may cause errors when saving or searching. Thus, it's key to keep the repositories separated with only the necessary operations delegated to each.

I am able to get the DUT to respond to the fabricated packet.

It appears the checksums were computed badly. I updated the check sum for the TCP computation, since I learned that the TCP needs to have a "pseudo IP" header to make the computation. It's explained here: Calculation of TCP Checksum

I also restructured the code to build it from the inside out (TCP-> IP-> Ethernet) and the DUT responds to the SYN.

I also disabled "Checksum offload" on the Linux PC to be sure, and to allow me to see and verify the checksums.

So the result: it puts me back to my first reported challenge trying to fabricate a test for RFC5961:

The problem is that after the ACK to the SYN, Linux is sending a RST on it's own. I learned that is because the socket has nothing listening or connected. I don't know how to get around that, since it's closing before my test even has a chance to issue a "revcfrom()"

WireShark Screen Shot of the RST packet

For anyone who is interested, here is the updated code for "main.cpp". It's not meant to be robust or defensive, just to test fabricating a packet from the Ethernet level.

You didn't provide your UserService class but I think it uses a User Model which means it tries to connect to a database. This fails since in the test environment, the database details (server, port, db name, user, password) are unknown. Please mind that the PHPUnit script will not bootstrap all these Β»magicΒ« environment details like Laravel does. So, the Model class can't set up the connection (it equals to null). You have to mock a database connection for testing purposes. But, it's in general difficult to test classes oder methods that require a database connection.

I am not sure if things have changed in the 9+ years since this question last saw activity, but the current reading of the DELETE method indicates times have changed, based on the accepted answer:

The DELETE method requests that the origin server remove the association between the target resource and its current functionality. In effect, this method is similar to the "rm" command in UNIX: it expresses a deletion operation on the URI mapping of the origin server rather than an expectation that the previously associated information be deleted. (emphasis mine).

HTTP request methods are semantic intentions. The intent of DELETE is to remove the association between the URI and the target resource (not "actually get rid of the object" per the accepted answer).

If I receive a DELETE request, regardless of how I remove that association (actually deleting the record or marking it 'inactive/deleted/whatever'), the GET response (which ultimately satisfies the intention) should not return the resource from the requested URI. Does it matter if it physically exists or not?

Based on the current spec, anything that removes the association between the target resource and its associated URI mapping is the intent of the DELETE method.

Just ran into this issue when SQLServer was upgraded from 2014 to 2022 (without my knowledge) so leaving this here in case it helps someone. The error was:

"Can't open lib '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/odbc/libtdsodbc.so' : file not found (0)"

The solution was to install the latest driver https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/odbc/linux-mac/installing-the-microsoft-odbc-driver-for-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver16&tabs=alpine18-install%2Calpine17-install%2Cdebian8-install%2Credhat7-13-install%2Crhel7-offline

Conceptually you are looking at a structure of drivers having devices having addresses. But all devices from all drivers are in just one big list numbered 0 to 'dwNumDevs' (what you got back from LineInitializeEx) .

So you don't yet know which devices are your avaya's. Usually the OS has several built-in devices taking up the first few slots. Your errors are probably from trying to access these. You first need to look through the device list to find the ones you want.

Use lineGetDevCaps https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/tapi/nf-tapi-linegetdevcaps to ask details for each device in the list. You want to look at field like 'DeviceName' and 'ProviderInfo' to spot your extensions. Only then do you know which devices to use for lineOpen.

Please note that if you are doing this from C++ you wish to negotiate the 2.2 version not the 3.0 version (3.x use COM)
